So I finished the AFP tarot design up after about three weeks of work and sent it to Beth last Tuesday. So THAT is done with and I can't wait to see the resulting deck, it's very exciting to think about. Now I'm a little burnt out artistically but trying not to fall into a slump, trying to stay busy creatively. Some of the things keeping me consistently on my toes are some of the artistic collaborations Andreas and I have going on: he publishes an article in his college's weekly literary magazine and since about spring last year I've given him art to publish along with it. Since all my back up art is pretty much depleted that means I need to start drawing new stuff! We had the idea that he write a weekly short story and I illustrate it; simple, but something that keeps us both doing something creatively. And something else that we want to work on which is a much, much bigger project that we haven't actually started on but have lots of ideas for is a collaborative comic. We're both into comics and graphic novels and both have a love for film noir soooo, we have planned a Lovecraftian noir. It will be a lot of fun and will definitely push the boundaries of both of our artistic abilities. But for now, while he's finishing up his screenplay (and beginning to film it) and I'm recovering from AFP tarot and getting my bearings back into other work WHILE trying to study for SATs and get into college, it will remain in its infancy for a bit.
